In September, the Art from Heart focused on brightening the days of hospitalized children through hand-drawn cards. Club members began by brainstorming uplifting messages and designing each card by hand, putting thought, care, and creativity into every detail. The goal was simple: to give each child a small but meaningful reminder that someone is thinking of them.
The project expanded beyond the club when it was featured at the school-wide Tap Into the Night event, where parents, students, and staff were invited to participate. The club booth was alive with creativity as community members of all ages picked up crayons and markers and added their personal touches to each card. Conversations quickly grew around the idea that even the tiniest act of kindness can have a bigger impact than we realize.
Community members engaged enthusiastically, personalizing each card with thoughtful messages and cheerful designs. Once the cards were completed, our members carefully reviewed all designs, added club stickers, and prepared them to be mailed out, sending joy, comfort, and a little piece of love to more than 50 hospitalized children.
This initiative reflects the club’s ongoing mission: to use art as a way to connect with others, spread positivity, and make a visible difference in the community. Next month, Art from Heart will focus on seniors, creating experiences that brighten their days, bridge generations, and highlight how imagination and care can make a real difference.
